Welcome Global Viewers (again)!
I was catching up on a little work in my hotelroom this afternoon when the top secret GlobalTV phone rang. Leslie was calling to see if I could chat on the 11 o’clock news about the new Facebook Home layout. “No problem!” I said. Well, except that I’m in Austin of course. “No problem!” they said. “We’ll Skype you in!”. And so we did.
Thanks for watching if you caught the short but sweet segment. We talked about the new design’s obvious influence from Twitter in the form of the big “What’s on your mind?” box smack in the middle of the page. If you haven’t seen it yet: keep checking. The update is rolling out slowly to all Facebook users.
(You know what I love about SXSW? I banged this post out on my iPhone at a party called Pastries and Pasties that featured both cupcakes and burlesque and no one even noticed
