You’re in a restaurant with friends and a song comes over the speakers. You know it, you’re sure you know if but what’s the name of it? And who’s it by? While it might make for interesting dinner conversation for a short while, playing Name That Tune gets old pretty fast. Enter Shazam. Let your iPhone hear the music and Shazam will (almost invariably in our experiments) identify the song. You even get iTunes links to buy the track in question.
