so I glance out the window, and ticket lady has re-appeared. Writing up another ticket for someone who, I figured, must be somewhere in the coffee shop – u know, park illegally, grab a coffee, jet, standard stuff.

so I’m like, that’s cheap. action required.

I clear my throat an loudly pronounce “WHOEVER OWNS THE BIG BLACK TRUCK PARKED OUT FRONT , YOU’RE GETTING A PARKING TICKET.”

With the attention of all starbucks go-ers, a man jumps out of line, and bolts for the door mumbling something along the lines of “damnit…”

Man moves car before ticket-lady has a chance to complete the ticket – so, ticket avoided.

Man comes back in, comes over and says “Thanks a lot pal! I owe you a coffee.”

I respond “fuggedabouit”. (inside voice: It’s us against them man…)

So that was my hero story.

In summary, my hero story now sucks in comparison to your hero story.
